September 28, 2007
September 28, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Data center operator and managed services provider Peak 10 (http://www.peak10.com) will offer a Webcast that considers effective security management, the company announced yesterday. The live webcast, entitled Network Perimeter Security: Securing and Protecting Critical Information Online, can be viewed Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. EST.

Peak 10’s live webcast will establish the steps necessary for companies to “effectively secure their systems and data from unauthorized online access”. The webcast will be moderated by Monty Blight, Peak 10’s Vice President of Managed Services. Ken Nelson, Peak 10 Nashville’s Vice President and General Manager, will also take part alongside a panel of Peak 10 and ProtectPoint engineers. The webcast will also cover “managing firewall security, high availability, VPN security and content filtering” and provide examples of “real-world deployments”.

“Data security is an extremely hot topic in today’s business world and is crucial to everyday business operations,” explained Mr. Nelson. “Business leaders need to stay informed on how to best ensure that their data is protected from both physical and online threats. Having security measures in place, allows business leaders to focus on their core business instead of monitoring and responding to network disruptions caused by both internal and external attacks, human error and the demands of regulatory compliance.”

Peak 10 offers data center services alongside a portfolio of managed services through data centers across southern United States. The company’s customers include Rivals.com, Churchill Downs, Pergo, LendingTree and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
