Data Center Service Provider TierPoint Launches New Service
Data center service provider TierPoint has launched a new service called ‘Cloud Connect Express’ (CCX). TierPoint, which has headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, was established in 2010. The company provides “secure, connected data center and cloud solutions at the edge of the internet” that help its customers facilitate IT transformation. Its services extend to private, multitenant, managed hyperscale, and hybrid clouds alongside colocation, disaster recovery, security and other managed services, each offered through SSAE 16 audited facilities. TierPoint’s new CCX offering “enables dedicated, low-latency connections” to leading public cloud services.

CCX leverages TierPoint's network and Zayo's CloudLink solution and will initially provide TierPoint’s 5,000-strong customer base (that includes public sector organizations and private sector businesses, including Fortune 500 companies) connections to Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) from each of its data centers. The company plans to add connectivity to other public clouds to the new service in the near future.

"A growing percentage of companies are using multiple cloud environments, including public clouds, for their data and workloads. They're also looking for alternatives to the public internet for connectivity to and between these cloud environments," explained TierPoint’s Senior Vice President of Product Development, Architecture and Engineering, Mr. Rob Carter. "CCX responds to those needs, providing a robust solution for public cloud connectivity from colocation, private cloud and multitenant cloud deployments across our more than 40 edge data centers in 20 markets, coast-to-coast."
