LightEdge) has acquired cloud and colocation company OnRamp. LightEdge, which has headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, United States, was established in 1996. The company offers full stack enterprise-grade cloud, colocation and consulting services with a focus on America’s Midwest. It prides itself on “delivering highly secure, compliant, and controllable IT services” which alongside colocation includes Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and hybrid cloud solutions. It services are available via four Tier III and ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS 3.2, and SSAE 18 SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3-compliant data centers. LightEdge’s acquisition of OnRamp extends its geographical footprint and enhances its ability to deliver compliant cloud solutions.
OnRamp was established as an ISP in 1994. With headquarters in Austin, Texas, United States, the company is a leading provider of HITRUST-certified data center services. It caters to companies in a number of sectors including healthcare, financial services, and education. Its services are HIPAA, PCI, SOX, FISMA and FERPA-compliant and available through “multiple enterprise-class SSAE16/AICPA SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 data centers” that deploy hybrid computing solutions which allow its customers to utilize secure cloud computing, managed hosting, and colocation options to address their specific business needs.
