Data center services provider 21Vianet Group, Inc. (21Vianet) has partnered with cloud giant Microsoft and internet provider Tencent. 21Vianet, which has headquarters in Beijing, China, specializes in carrier-neutral internet data center services. The company’s services extend to web hosting and cloud services alongside managed network services, broadband services and VPN services. It operates in around 30 Chinese cities and caters to around 4,000 hosting enterprise customers that service organizations in a range of industries and Chinese government bodies. The partnership will see the three organizations work together to deliver Microsoft Office via multi-terminal access

By partnering with Microsoft, which has headquaryers in Richmond, Virginia, United States, and Tencent, which has headquarters in Shenzhen, China, 21Vianet will be able to offer Tencent Cloud customers the added convenience of a “mobile office anytime, anywhere” alongside a streamlined version of Microsoft Office. The cloud-based solution requires no installation and allows Tencent Cloud users to work together on Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents from multiple devices via Tencent.
