Data Platform Provider Looker Announces Analytical Suite for AWS
Data platform provider Looker has announced the launch of a new suite of analytical services designed for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud users. Looker, which has headquarters in Santa Cruz, California, United States, was established in 2012. It specializes in providing data analytics and business insights that enable companies to make business decisions. Its 1,000-strong customer base includes major companies like Sony, Etsy, Lyft and Kickstarter. The company also has a presence in New York, and in London, United Kingdom and Dublin, Ireland. Its new ‘Looker Blocks Suite for AWS’ enables users to optimize AWS “performance and investment”.

‘Looker Blocks Suite for AWS’ enables users to investigate and establish queries for a range of AWS generated data, including Amazon Redshift metadata. The solution analyzes workload patterns to maximize query performance and also analyzes AWS billing and CloudTrail log data to “identify opportunities to understand usage and reduce spending”. The suite establishes a full view of a company’s cloud infrastructure investment and allows users to explore “row-level data” to “understand future opportunities to drive value”.

“We are constantly working with our strategic partners, like AWS, to ensure our joint customers have the best possible experience with solutions from our companies,” explained Looker’s Vice President of Alliances, Keenan Rice. “This new suite of Looker Blocks compiles a welcomed set of features into a simplified package for our large number of AWS customers to optimize and manage all their AWS investments with Looker.”
