DataBank Expands Data Center

August 27, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed data center service provider DataBank (http://www.databank.com) has announced plans today to construct a new 36,000 square foot data center in the former Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas located at 400 S. Akard in Dallas, Texas. The new center is scheduled to be operational in early October.

“We have had great success in deploying over 40,000 square feet in our existing data centers and we are rapidly expanding to meet the demands of our current clients,” says Jerry Blair, Vice President of DataBank. “With over 25 megawatts of diverse utility power servicing our building along with over 50,000 square feet reserved for future expansion, we are uniquely positioned to facilitate the growth in our client’s businesses while continuing to diversify our customer base.”

The new data center will boast a 24 inch raised floor and 3 megawatts of initial UPS power with N+1 emergency generator back-up. The center will be conditioned by over 1,000 Tons of Liebert cooling and protected with biometric access and 24X7 CCTV monitoring and on-site security personnel.
