DataPipe and Sun Microsystems Offer Start Ups and ISVs ‘Competitively Priced, High-performance Managed Hosting Services’ |

July 11, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – DataPipe (http://www.datapipe.com) and Sun Microsystems (http://www.sun.com/) are working together to offer startup companies and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) “competitively priced, high-performance managed hosting services” that, according to the company, will enable users to “quickly reach their target market and accelerate the growth of their business”, it was reported this week. The low cost services are being made available through the Sun Startup EssentialsSM program. The program is available to existing software companies and consists of “hardware, software, managed hosting services, security, reporting and patching at no cost for a period of up to 90 days for those companies who have signed an approved ISV Sandbox agreement”.
“We directly service both Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley,” explained CEO of DataPipe, Mr. Robb Allen.
“This is a natural fit for us. Providing entrepreneurs with access to high value managed services will enable them to fast track their success.”
DataPipe’s service will offer a Web hosting infrastructure “utilizing a range of Sun products, including the Solaris 10 Operating System, Sun servers and Sun storage” through its own class data center facilities. "Sun is excited to work with DataPipe to bring access to their world-class data centers and services in managing webscale infrastructure to next generation startups and web 2.0 companies," explained Sun Microsystems’ Vice President of Global Market Development and Engineering, Juan Carlos Soto.
