Digital transformation and intelligence platform provider Software AG has acquired cloud integration platform
Built.io. Software AG, which has headquarters in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany, provides a range of services that enable companies to “interact with their customers and bring them on new ‘digital’ journeys”. The company has a strong presence in the Internet of Things (IoT) market and enables companies to manage IoT and make business decisions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven intelligence. The company operates in around 70 countries. Its acquisition of Built.io is intended to further accelerate its hybrid and cloud integration capabilities.
Built.io, which was established in 2007, has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States. The company’s award-winning technology “integrates disconnected technologies” and its services enable developers and business users to integrate and automate workflows and establish application connectivity. Built.io's ‘Flow and Embed’ offerings will be integrated with Software AG's webMethods Integration platform. Financial aspects of the deal were not released.
