The TippingPoint system will protect DiscountASP.NET’s customers against known exploits by using a series of predetermined rules to establish whether data packets are legitimate or malicious. TippingPoint also utilizes “Digital Vaccine”, a function that regularly updates the system’s filters to “maintain defense against the latest vulnerabilities, viruses and rogue applications”. According to DiscountASP.NET, since its deployment, the TippingPoint IPS solution has blocked over 10 million malicious packets.
