DiscountASP.NET Enhances Security with New FTP Management Tools on Windows 2008 Hosting Platform
October 14, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – DiscountASP.NET (http://www.discountasp.net), a Windows hosting provider, has announced enhancements in security with the launch of a suite of new FTP management tools on their Windows 2008 hosting platform.
The FTP Stop/Start tool allows customers to stop and start their FTP service. The FTP IP Restriction tool allows customers to manage an IP whitelist or IP blacklist for FTP service. Finally, the FTP Session tool displays all live FTP connections to a customer’s site and allows the customer to disconnect any of the FTP sessions in real time.

The FTP management tool suite is available in the DiscountASP.NET control panel under a new FTP Manager tab in the IIS Tools section.
