Domain Registrar and Web Hosting Provider Go Daddy Improves Security

June 2, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Domain registrar and web hosting provider Go Daddy has announced it has improved security by deploying “TippingPoint” Intrusion Prevention Systems to block malicious attacks. The systems protect dedicated and virtual dedicated hosting servers by scanning traffic and determining whether data packets are legitimate or malicious.

TippingPoint functions “transparently” using ‘Digital Vaccine’ to regularly update filters and defend against vulnerabilities, viruses and other malicious threats. "Hackers and automated viruses, spyware, phishing and other attacks are constantly finding new ways around normal security measures in today's business world," said Greg Fitzgerald, Vice President at TippingPoint.

"Security is a top priority at Go Daddy," said Neil Warner, Go Daddy.com Chief Information Security Officer. "TippingPoint systems have an established track record of success. Our customers deserve this extra protection for their hosting accounts."
