Web Host Dotster Introduces Improved Hosting Application Vault
July 24, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host Dotster has introduced an improved hosting Application Vault, it was reported recently. According to the company the vault allows users to directly install and upgrade “over 30 popular Open Source applications” including “blogging, ecommerce, content management, photo sharing, and project management applications”. The solution, which also manages security patch updates, is available to all Dotster’s business and personal users.

The open source options available through Dotster’s vault include WordPress and b2evolution blogs, OSCommerce or ZenCart for ecommerce web site with an online shopping cart and back-end management, Joomla and Drupal for content management, and DotProject for project management.
According to the company, Dotster has “helped approximately 1 million businesses and individuals establish their web presence, build their websites and drive revenue”. It manages “millions of domain names” and is “one of the world’s largest ICANN-accredited domain registration and web hosting companies”.
