Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) company
Bluelock has forecast it will experience substantially increased growth and customer satisfaction this year. The company, which has headquarters in Trail, Indianapolis, USA, operates US-based SSAE 16 Type II SOC 2 audited data centers. It specializes in managed cloud hosting and recovery options for “complex environments and sensitive data”, and caters to businesses with services that help companies “mitigate risk with confidence”, particularly through its flagship Bluelock Recovery Assurance offering. The company has achieves “DRaaS monthly recurring revenue (MRR) growth of 150 percent year-to-date” and is expecting a huge 30% increase in revenue that will provide a “foundation for focused growth”.
Bluelock operates in an arena that is experiencing significant growth and, according to research company Gartner, will overshadow the market for traditional subscription-based DR services and soon be worth approximately $1.3 billion. A number of avenues have tracked Bluelock’s growth. Net Promoter, a research body that “acts as a leading indicator of growth” gave the company a score of ‘81’ when a score of ‘50’ is recognized as “world-class”. Gartner also positioned the company as “Visionary” in its “Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service”.
“Most companies are finding that disaster recovery is an ideal place to start the transition to cloud-based IT,” explained Bluelock’s CEO, Christopher Clapp. “In 2013, Bluelock launched its DRaaS service by leveraging its past success in delivering highly resilient cloud services. Over the past year, it’s become evident we have a unique ability to solve for complex disaster recovery requirements that other providers cannot or will not do, so we’re increasing our focus and investment in DRaaS.”
