Web Hosting Provider Easy CGI Launches Domain Privacy Feature
June 29, 2007 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting provider Easy CGI (http://www.easycgi.com) has launched a new domain privacy feature, it was announced recently. The feature is available free of charge for any domain registered through the Easy CGI Domain Registrar.
Although the companys customers will retain full ownership and control of their domain, once the new privacy feature is activated personal information related to a particular domain will not be exposed in public WHOIS databases. Administrative, Billing and Technical contacts are masked with generic contact information and requests to contact the domain owner are forwarded to the owner. Similar services are available through other providers but they usually incur a monthly cost.
"At Easy CGI, we understand the importance of privacy and security, particularly with regards to spammers, telemarketers and other undesired third parties. Domain Privacy enables us to offer domain registration services without forcing our clients to put their contact information into a public database that can be viewed and used by anyone," explained Easy CGIs Vice President, Mr. Ted Beckwith. "We're passing on this benefit at no additional cost to our clients because we believe that privacy and security should not have a price tag. We offer superior solutions at exceptional rates and back that up with sincere customer care."
