Web Hosting Provider Easy CGI Offers PHP 4.4.4, PHP 5.2.4 - or Both!
October 12, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Easy CGI (http://www.easycgi.com/), a Microsoft-certified company, is offering its shared hosting customers full support for PHP 4.4.4, PHP 5.2.4, or both. While introducing the new PHP version, the company will maintain the previous version allowing customers to “maintain their existing web programming, add new pages using the more powerful PHP 5, or migrate to the new application completely, but at their own pace”.
PHP5 is a total revision of the PHP development platform and represents “more than a simple upgrade” from PHP4. PHP5 improvements include additional support for object oriented programming and MySQL, interoperable XML tools, better error handling, improved SOAP handling for websites with network firewall concerns, and powerful data handling tools. Easy CGI ensured that adding PHP 5 support will not impact its present hosting customers and provides customers with a web-based hosting control panel to where they can choose the two PHP versions.
