Oddcast.com and Web Hosting Provider Easy CGI Partner on SitePal |

October 24, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Oddcast.com (http://www.oddcast.com/) and web hosting provider Easy CGI (http://www.easycgi.com/) have partnered to provide the latter’s shared-hosting customers with SitePal Talking Avatars, it was announced recently. The avatars are “customizable, animated characters that interact and speak with website visitors, helping to improve sales conversion rates”.

SitePal’s talking character avatars are cartoons of humans that can be adapted from SitePal’s library of characters or created from photographs. The avatars can be preprogrammed to provide spoken instructions and explanations. They are useful for providing the first line of support, for instance offering sales or customer support information. The avatars follow mouse movements and their lips synchronize with speech for a realistic effect. Voices can be generated automatically or messages can be recorded by voice professionals “in a variety of styles, accents and languages”.
