Web Hosting Provider Easy CGI Offers .NET 3.5 Upgrade
December 13, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Easy CGI (http://www.easycgi.com/) is offering its customers an upgrade to .NET 3.5, the company announced today. According to the company, the upgrade will be “seamless” and extensive “performance, compatibility and reliability testing” have already been conducted.
.NET 3.5 provides immediate migration of .NET 2.0 and 3.0 sites. The new version offers ASP.NET AJAX, Language Integrated Query (LINQ), and new developer tools (Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation). Visual Studio 2008 can also “target” .NET Framework 3.5 or previous versions.
Key.NET Framework 3.5 features include new product and item templates, “Auto-Host” for self-hosted WCF services, enhanced duplex/async messaging, workflow authoring, and increased support for web protocols, formats and services. The version also provides support for all the new WS- services, such as WS-ReliableMessaging, WS-AtomicTransaction, and WS-Trust/WS-SecurityPolicy.
“Many of our customers stay in tune with the latest technologies, so we anticipated a large number of requests to upgrade to Framework 3.5,” explained Easy CGI’s VP, Mr. Ted Beckwith. “Now, our customers have all the new features and tools of .NET Framework 3.5 to push boundaries in their developments.”
