Eddie McAndrew has been made Chief Operating Officer (COO) of security and IT managed services provider
AIS Network. AIS Network, which has headquarters in Ashland, Virginia, United States, was established in 1993. The company provides advanced information security, application development and cloud solutions, and is SWaM-certified. It predominantly caters to government agencies in Virginia and has been a Commonwealth of Virginia partner since 2012. The company prides itself on understanding the data protection needs of state agencies, particularly in terms of compliance, governance and internal auditing procedures. Its managed services extend to highly secure hosting, data visualization and analytics, alongside disaster recovery options and colocation. Mr. McAndrew brings more than 25 years industry experience to his new position.
Mr. McAndrew’s career has focused on IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) consulting for both the private and public sectors. Prior to taking his latest role he worked at Richmond, Virginia-based management and technology consulting company Impact Makers where he managed the company’s GRC consulting activity. He has also helped state government entities and major business organizations like IBM, Northrop Grumman and PriceWaterhouseCoopers to address their GRC requirements. He has Master of Science in Information Systems, Finance and Network Architecture from Virginia Tech, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. At AIS Network he will oversee the company’s internal and external operations and ‘Active Directory’ team. He will also be involved in areas as diverse as application development and audit compliance.
