Electronic Security Solutions Provider MorphoTrak Utilizes Microsoft Azure Government for Morpho Cloud
MorphoTrak, a US-based subsidiary of French electronic security solutions provider Safran (also known as Morpho), has utilized Microsoft Azure Government for its new Morpho Cloud offering. The company, which has headquarters in Anaheim, California, USA, bills itself as a “global leader in security and identity solutions” with “more than 40 years' experience”. Its new offering, a “Multi-biometric Identification-as-a-Service” solution, was launched at this year’s Florida International Association for Identification (FDIAI) 56th Annual Educational Training Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.

Safran is contracted to “support several U.S. government standards for data security” such as the CJIS Security Policy required by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The company has worked with Microsoft to ensure its cloud solution meets the strictest standards for the storage, transmission and monitoring of data. As per compliance requirements, Morpho Cloud is hosted in the USA and managed by US citizens with high levels of security clearance. Compliance requirements also mean the data it stores is secured by “geo-redundant data centers” that are a minimum of 500 miles apart from each other.

"The Morpho Cloud platform provides mission critical multi-biometric identification services scaled to address the operational needs of our customers," explained MorphoTrak’s Vice President, Steve Vinsik. "Working with Microsoft enables us to leverage the power of the Azure platform to provide the flexibility, manageability, and security that our customers demand."
