Spanish '.es' Domains Now Unrestricted

November 9, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – A domain name 'Landrush' started yesterday, with the Spanish Domain Name Registry announcing that it has dropped restrictions on sales of domains with the ‘.es’ extension. The registration period starting November 8 will take place over a period of 4 days and with Spanish the native language for around 500 million people worldwide, enormous interest in ‘.es’ domains is expected.

'We have extensive experience with such developments and have been accepting '.es' pre-registrations for sometime.' The new '.es' domain name will fit in alongside EuroDNS’ suite of some 30 Top Level Domains.

Orders for domain names starting in numbers and letters 'a' and 'b' took place November 8. Orders for names starting from 'c' to 'e' will be added today and letters 'f' to 'n' from November 10. Open registration starts November 11, 2005.
