October 7, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Euronext, the Pan-European exchange, has signed web hosting provider Atos Origin to manage the hosting of all its websites. The contract between the two organizations was for a period of three years and requires hosting on a dedicated platform. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Euronext is responding a significant increase in traffic to its public and corporate websites which have seen a 40% increase in pages viewed since the end of 2005. Discussing the agreement, Gilles Tréhin, in charge of Internet infrastructures at Euronext, suggested Atos was chosen because of its ability to meet “service quality and continuity requirements”.
"The expertise of our partner in dedicated hosting and its ability to consistently meet the requirements and expectations of strategic players in the operation and maintenance of their Web sites, will enable us to face the major increase in traffic volumes across our web sites and meet our targets for the growth of our Internet-based services," explained Mr. Tréhin.
