Expense Management Solutions Provider Chrome River Technologies Launches “Canadian Data Hosting Capabilities”
May 19, 2017
Expense management solutions and supplier invoicing solutions provider Chrome River Technologies (Chrome River) has announced the launch of “Canadian data hosting capabilities”. Chrome River, which has global headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States, was established in 2007. The company offers a wide range of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) services including cloud-based expense reporting, invoice automation services, and payments management services. The move makes the company the “first global expense management software provider to implement Canadian data hosting”.
Chrome River will utilize the new Montreal, Canada-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) data center for its data hosting. The move allows the company to benefit from two AWS ‘Availability Zones’ each located separately in facilities that offer redundant power, networking and connectivity. The move offers Chrome River’s customers (which include federal and provincial government bodies) the ability to comply with Canada’s strict data sovereignty regulations (the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and enable users to “host their employees’ expense management data entirely within Canada”.
“As Chrome River continues to expand its presence in Canada, our customers – particularly those in higher education or with a public-sector focus – are increasingly expressing a need to keep their employees’ expense data in Canada,” explained Chrome River’s CEO, Alan Rich. “We’re happy to be able to provide the enhanced data protection capabilities that many organizations now require, while offering a solution suitable for global expense management requirements. This move demonstrates Chrome River’s commitment to the market, and we are excited to continue attracting leading Canadian organizations to our solution.”
