Financial services company Deloitte Australia has acquired cloud computing consultants
Cloud Solutions Group (CSG). Deloitte Australia has offices across Australia and in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste. The company offers a broad range of services including auditing, consulting, financial advisory services, risk strategy and technology services. Its acquisition of CSG is part of a series of technology industry acquisitions the company has been involved in recent times – its third since June 2015. Financial aspects of the deal were not released.
CSG, which has headquarters in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, is a “vendor independent” cloud brokerage and consultancy company. It primarily caters to customers in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia with a focus on private, hybrid and public cloud technologies. The company specializes in areas such as virtualisation, cloud migration, managed services, data management, VDI and mobility, cloud Integration and cloud DR. Deloitte Australia’s move is intended to help the company to become a one-stop business transformation solution company.
"We made a very deliberate decision a number of years ago that our clients needed to transform the services they offered to their customers," suggested Robert Hillard, Deloitte Australia’s Managing Partner of Deloitte Consulting in an interview with The Australian Financial Review. "We looked at what they needed to do that and they needed a digital strategy ... and the nuts and bolts to support the move to cloud."
