Former CIO of Online Retailer Target Joins Supply Chain Company SPS Commerce
Ms. Beth Jacob, the former CIO of online retailer Target, has joined the supply chain company SPS Commerce. Ms. Jacob left Target after the company experienced a major data breach in December 2013.

Hackers entered Target’s system and stole customer credit and debit card information including customer names, their mailing and email addresses, and their phone numbers. Access to the information was blocked on December 15, 2103, but not after the company lost the trust of a significant component of its clientele. The breach impacted 70 million customers and the company has had to face $250 million in costs since it occurred.

SPS Commerce was established in 1987 and trades on the stock market. It is worth around $1.09 billion and employs over 900 people. The company specializes in cloud-based supply chain management for a range of companies. Ms. Jacob has joined the Minneapolis Minnesota-based company as Chief Customer Success Officer and she will be responsible for setting its strategy for global growth.

"Beth is a key addition to our management team, playing a critical role that focuses on ensuring our customers' success in an era of unprecedented transformation and opportunity in retailing," explained SPS Commerce’s CEO and President, Mr. Archie Black. "She is an accomplished leader with a passion for customers and the teams that serve them. We are thrilled to welcome Beth to SPS Commerce."
