Francis J. Pelzer has joined cybersecurity, DDoS protection, and cloud computing company F5 Networks Inc. (
F5). F5, which has headquarters in Seattle, Washington, United States, was established in 1996. The company gives its customers “the freedom to securely deliver every app, anywhere—with confidence” and makes apps “go faster, smarter, and safer”. Its products can be utilized in any environment and its customer base includes “48 of the Fortune 50 companies” alongside government bodies and service providers. Mr. Pelzer joins the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Mr. Pelzer is an industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Cloud Business Group at SAP prior to joining F5. At SAP he was in charge of the company’s SaaS suite of products and services. Before SAP he held the Chief Financial Officer at cloud-based travel and financial management solution provider Concur Technologies (before it was acquired by SAP). He has also held executive roles at Deutsche Bank AG and Credit Suisse Group. He received his BA from Dartmouth College and achieved an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. At F5 he will oversee all aspects of the company’s global financial activity including investor relations.
