Free Rider’s Traffic Blazer service looks at several aspects of a website, including keyword usage, frame and Flash usage, and “whether the website can be read by search engine spiders”. Traffic Blazer also enables customers to submit a website to search engines and directories, and provides reports on where a website appears in search results. The Deluxe and Premium versions of the service offer detailed website statistics.
"It is important for webmasters to get their web sites as high as possible in the search engine results," explained Free Rider Web Hosting’s CEO, Simon Drain. "Google handles 200 million searches every day. Most people only look at the first few pages of search results, so web sites that are further down in the results are missing out on a lot of traffic."
Mr. Drain recommends that Traffic Blazer is used as only part of “a larger scheme” to increase ranking. "Other factors are also important," he explained. "Google, for example, takes the number of external links to the site in to account. This means that webmasters need to work on several areas, such as asking other webmasters to link to their web site. Traffic Blazer is useful for optimizing a website and for submitting to search engines; however, it is not a panacea in itself." |
