Web Hosting Provider Freshosts Wants to ‘Bring Affordable Utility Computing to the Masses’ |

November 6, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Freshosts (http://www.freshosts.com), a start-up backed by backed by Jamcamedia, has the noble aim of wanting to ‘bring affordable utility computing to the masses,’ the company announced this week.
Freshosts has launched an “innovative hosting service” which uses “a system of clusters of specialized servers” to provide significant advantages in redundancy and performance. The company’s hosting accounts offer traffic load balancing, mitigation of denial of service attacks, and combine Windows and open source technologies to allow ASP and PHP pages to run from the same web directory.
According to Mike Lee, Freshosts’ Sales Manager, the company’s True Hybrid technology is different in that its system checks each file, sending Windows and Linux pages to clusters using those platforms. "As a design shop, you may get a client that has legacy code on their site that uses one technology, and you want to work with another technology," said Mr. Lee.
