With today’s upgrades, Future Protect™ now offers backup intervals as short as two hours. In the event of a disaster, data loss is limited to a maximum of the most recent two hours—virtually eliminating the threat of a major outage. Previously Future Protect™ offered six hour backup intervals.
Today’s upgrade also introduces a new MySQL add-on component, enabling the system to provide near-Continuous protection for active MySQL databases. The feature allows for granular restoration of segments of data, so server administrators can selectively choose which data they want to retrieve from a past restore point.
