June 20, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Glasgow-based web hosting and development company Liveaps has announced the launch of an Ajax WYSIWYG Webpage Editor “geared towards the general public”. Limited testing of the company’s “Eportal” service (http://eportal.com) will begin later this month.
Eportal features an online “drag-'n-drop” WYSIWYG editor which the company believes can be utilized by website developers from the ages “9 to 94”. The basic package will be offered free of charge and allow users to create five web pages supported with 50 MB and unlimited traffic. Additionally, Eportal allows users to insert a range of files including .wma, .wmv, .swf files, as well as text boxes, hyperlinks, and links that download files.
For people wishing to extend beyond the basic package, the upgraded package allows developers to include code into their website, provides a greater number of pages, and offers Blogs and basic CRM functionality.
