Accenture has announced the launch of the Accenture Google Cloud Platform Business Group (AGBG). Accenture, which has headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, was established in 1989. The company is a globally recognized brand providing services and solutions for companies in around 40 industries. Operating in more than 120 countries, it offers consulting services alongside digital, technology and operations solutions. It is also involved in business process outsourcing, and application and infrastructure outsourcing. The AGBG is designed to enable Accenture to transition its customers’ workloads to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Accenture’s move is seen as an important gain for GCP in terms of its competition with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. AGBG will focus on a number of areas, including machine learning. It will specialize in developing solutions for customers in Europe, Japan and the USA, with a particular focus on companies in the retail, consumer and health industries. These solutions will include managed cloud services that allow companies to harness the benefits of GCP. It will also utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address customer business requirements and offer GCP-based SAP applications. Additionally, it will offer analytics solutions.
