Web Hosting Company Adopts the ‘Million Dollar Page’ Craze to Raise $1 Million for Katrina Victims

September 27, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Inspired by ‘MillionDollarHomePage.com’ – a concept developed a 21-year-old British student looking the finance his education – Los Angeles-based Web Hosting company Globat.com has announced the launch of ‘Million-Dollar-Help-Page.com’. Managed by the Globat Foundation, a non-profit division of Globat, the site is dedicated to raising $1 million for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Like MillionDollarHomePage.com, Million-Dollar-Help-Page.com sells blocks of 100 pixels for advertising purposes. Each pixel costs one dollar. To date, the original site has generated $150,000 in well short of a month. "At Globat, we take charity seriously," said Ben R. Neumann, President and CEO of Globat.com. "We contributed man-power and money to our 'Feed the Homeless' campaign last Christmas, and made donations to the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund. With Million-Dollar-Help-Page.com we see our biggest opportunity yet for helping thousands of people whose lives have been ruined by our country's worst natural disaster in living memory."
