August 16, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Globat.com (http://www.globat.com) has acquired a California-based web host Newista (http://www.newista.com), it was announced yesterday. According to a statement from Globat, the company has acquired “virtually all” of Newista assets, while financial terms were not revealed.
"Newista has been very successful in the hosting industry since 2003 and is known for intensely focusing on personalized customer service. Customer experience has also always been Globat's #1 priority," explained Ben R. Neumann, CEO of Globat. "It was a natural fit. The combined strengths of both companies will allow us to offer an even wider range of web hosting choices along with nearly unprecedented customer care."
The acquisition will broaden Newista’s product range, allowing the company to offer multiple web hosting platforms, including cPanel and Plesk. "We're extremely excited to become part of the Globat.com family,” explained Newista’s President, Mr. George Hubert. “We're proud of our offerings and have long had a strong footing in the industry. Together with the reach and resources of Globat.com, we're going to get even stronger."
