Go Daddy's Indian Customer Base Nearly Doubles in a Year
August 10, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Go Daddy's growth in Indian customers over the last year has far exceeded its expectations according to an annual report. The domain name provider's customer base in the Asian country has risen by 91% in a comparison of July 2011 - July 2012.

Since the New Year, the company which also offers web hosting and SSL Certificates has also seen customers growing by 52%.

Go Daddy's Managing Director in India is India Rajiv Sodhi, who leads the team with his 14 years of experience in the technology sector, who gave his opinions on why the company is experiencing the substantial growth.

"In this economy, everyone is looking for an edge. I think our timing has been exquisite and the results are playing out better than we expected at this point," explained Sodhi.

"What we are doing is helping people leverage the Internet to grow their businesses ... providing simple products at competitive prices and supporting them with industry-best customer service based here in India. It's a pretty straight-forward formula and it works."

The Indian branch of the Go Daddy business supports over 120,000 customers, and has also recently announced a new customer care facility in Hyderabad. Within a month of the opening, the agents working in the facility have taken more than 10,000 calls.

Attending the grand opening of the customer care center was Go Daddy's Vice President of International Development Ryan Corder, who commented on the company's expansion to India.

"We have always believed the Internet is the heart of the new economy. We have already seen Go Daddy products help transform people's aspirations into reality here in India, and it's amazing to see," said Corder.

Some recently implemented payment options have targeted making business with Go Daddy in India far smoother, with customers able to make payments for online purchases in Indian Rupees, through a number of devices.

Managing Director Sodhi concluded by saying; "Go Daddy believes in the power of the Internet to bridge the digital divide in India. Our products and services empower Indian SMEs to grow their businesses and be the driver behind the Indian economy."
