November 2, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com) has seen a significant increase in the sale of domains with the .US extension, the company announced recently. According to the company, it has been the “dominant .US registrar for every month of the last two years” and sold “more than 53% of all .US registrations in August”. Go Daddy also cited similar results in September and October and quoted RegistrarStats.com as saying The Go Daddy Group maintains 34% of all .US domain name registrations.

“We are thrilled to see .US performing so well,” explained Bob Parsons, CEO and Founder of the Go Daddy Group, Inc. “Go Daddy has put a lot of effort into raising awareness for the extension and the results are quite clear - our customers have been snatching up available .US domain names at an eye popping rate."

"GoDaddy.com clearly triggered a historic gain in the number of .US domain name registrations,” explained the CEO of industry analyst Name Intelligence (http://www.nameintelligence.com), Jay Westerdal. “It’s not by luck they are the largest .US registrar. They aggressively promote the .US extension and it shows through their sheer number of registrations.”

Go Daddy provides a variety of domain name registration and website hosting services, as well as a broad array of on-demand and other services. The company manages more than 24 million domain names. Purchasing .US domains through GoDaddy.com is made attractive through a number of free benefits registrants receive.
