Go Daddy Sponsored Poker Tournament Heads into Historic Finale

May 16, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The stage is set for a dramatic end to the 2009 NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship sponsored by GoDaddy.com. Viewers are getting a real show as the Go Daddy Girl rips through poker's top players to earn a seat in the semi-finals.

Go Daddy introduced Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro as a new Go Daddy Girl just days before the 5th annual National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Rousso is among 64 of the world's elite poker professionals vying for the $1.5MM in combined prize money. Only one other woman in history has made it this far.

In this one-on-one competition, Rousso has already taken out some of the hottest names in the poker world. In the first round Rousso defeated Doyle Brunson, World Series of Poker back-to-back title winner. Rousso went on to beat Phil Ivey, Paul Wasicka and Daniel Negreanu. Next, she faces renowned Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.
"Vanessa's road to the semi-finals couldn't have been more difficult," said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "Go Daddy played its cards right sponsoring Vanessa and this poker tournament. Both are paying off in spades!"

Earlier this month the Go Daddy Girl won the European Poker Tournament's "High Roller" event in Monte Carlo, taking home nearly $1MM -- the biggest single payday in her career. Rousso is one of the top female money earners on the circuit and has won some $3MM playing poker.

Viewers can see Rousso in action during NBC's broadcast of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship sponsored by GoDaddy.com. Watch history unfold on NBC Sunday at Noon ET.

During the broadcast, edgy poker-themed Go Daddy commercials are airing. Look for Go Daddy Girl Vanessa Rousso, Team PokerStars Pro, to be featured in the ads with Go Daddy Girl and IndyCar Series' most popular driver, Danica Patrick, original Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle and Go Daddy's CEO and Founder Bob Parsons.
