Go Daddy Sponsors Indy 500 Broadcast on Sunday, with Hinch on The Front Row
May 25, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The Indianapolis 500 takes place this Sunday and for the sixth consecutive year Go Daddy.com is the presenting sponsor. The race which will be broadcast on ABC TV, and will also see the Go Daddy.com No.27 Chevy line up on the front row, with James "Hinch" Hinchcliffe at the helm.

Hinch, the driver of Go Daddy's car this season, missed out on the pole position by just 23 thousandths of second but will still be starting with a clear track before him.

The web hosting providers' car will be lining up in its best-ever starting position in the race dubbed as the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing".

Hinch signed as Go Daddy's 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series driver in January and has since racked up some impressive performances, finishing every race in the top six of this year’s competition.

The Canadian driver is currently running third in points overall, but despite his strong starting position, is still aware of the task before him.

"The Go Daddy Chevy has a prime starting position for Sunday's race, but we're not done yet," he said.

"Our team has worked extremely hard to get us to this point and I think fans are in for one heck of a show come Sunday, and if we could win Indy, I just might get my mug on the Go Daddy homepage."

Following his success in the IndyCar circuit Hinch has set his sights on replacing Danica Patrick as the face of the Go Daddy website. His campaign via social media kicked off a few months ago and included a public appearance sporting a “Danica-wig” during the first race of the season.

Go Daddy Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President Barb Rechterman, found amusement in the light-hearted competition between the two drivers, "Hinch is just fun to watch. He's entertaining, he's a tech guy and his sense of humour is absolutely contagious. We saw his 'campaign' and thought it was worth giving him a shot" he admitted.

"Hinch has given us a 'Go Daddy first. We've never had a driver start in the front row at Indy. And this just might help him with his 'Hinch for Homepage' campaign too.”

Starting in the middle, on the front row, position two, Hinch will be hoping some publicity and success this Sunday will have a knock-on effect on his campaign. The charismatic driver will certainly have Go Daddy on his side in the vote if he tops the podium at the Indy 500.

'How cool would it be for Hinch to win the Indy 500, I think we'd have to put him on the homepage if he wins Sunday," said Executive VP Rechterman.

You can vote to put Hinch or Danica on the homepage and see how the votes are trending right now at www.GoDaddy.com/Vote.

Watch "The 96th Indianapolis 500 broadcast presented by GoDaddy.com," Sunday with live coverage starting at 11 a.m. ET on ABC TV.
