GoDaddy Launches Web Hosting Platform for Optimized WordPress
GoDaddy has launched a new web hosting platform designed to provide optimized WordPress Content Management System (CMS) options. The company, recognized as one of the world's leading web hosts, manages server set up, security, backups and performance optimization for around 2 million WordPress websites. Its new WordPress solution is designed to meet customer needs for a fully managed WordPress experience. The service was created using feedback from WordPress experts and members of the WordPress community.

GoDaddy's new Managed WordPress service offers high scalability and fast load times. It utilizes load-balanced servers with fully redundant SSD-backed file and database servers, and the service is available through a "one-click migration tool" available through users' control panels. The service automatically updates accounts to the latest WordPress version. It also manages plug-ins so they current to safeguard against possible attacks. To further strengthen security, firewalls have been added alongside malware scanning and automated security patching. The entire service is underpinned by an "award-winning Security Team" which provides ongoing security monitoring.

"GoDaddy is committed to supporting the WordPress community with one of the fastest, most secure and reliable hosting platforms," explained Bill Watt, Director of Hosting Product Management at GoDaddy. "The team created a product that is easy-to-use and is robust and scalable as an enterprise-level service. GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting costs a fraction of other competitors prices and is backed by award-winning, around-the-clock customer service which makes this a great choice for anyone looking to get their website up and running."
