HostColor.com Opened New DataCenter

October 22, 2004 -- Host Color (hostcolor.com), a leading budget hosting provider, has opened it's new hosting center. Servers are located in the corporate building managed by Custom.net at 1818 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana.

The datacenter is connected with its own fiber interconnections to several telecommunications carriers. This gives it the ability to deliver services ranging from T1 to full gigabit and dark fiber services to over 12000 locations across the United States.

The heart of the IP network is located near Chicago Illinois, ensuring minimum latency across North America and maximizing network performance.

Along with opening it's new datacenter and isntalling new servers HostColor.com now offers the improved version of Next Color (nextcolor.com) hosting control panel. It is a feature rich application for Linux/Unix server management with web based interface. It supports Perl and PHP scripts, as well as MySQL databases which can be managed via your scripts or a PHP interface.

The improved version allows users to run Python scripts. Customers can can also use POP3/SMTP e-mail via an e-mail client such as Outlook Express, or to use the free improved Web mail interface (of the type Yahoo and Hotmail offer).
