UNC Charlotte Selects Data Center and Managed Services Provider Hosted Solutions
May 22, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Data center and managed services provider Hosted Solutions has announced that it has added the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as a client. The company will provide services for The College of Health and Human Services’ web-based portal, part of a project for the State Center for Health Statistics. The company will provide bandwidth, managed firewall, collocation, SPLA licensing, OS management and managed backup services through its “SAS 70 Type II certified” data center.
The web portal is part of the North Carolina Community Health Assessment Initiative, which helps health professionals learn about the strengths and health care needs of people in their community. The data collected in the portal will be used to assess the health of individual communities, create effective public programs and policies and evaluate the impact of these initiatives.
“This web portal will amplify UNC Charlotte’s thought leadership and give them even deeper roots in our state as it will be integral to the advancement of state health care policies.
