January 2, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider HostedToday (http://www.hostedtoday.com) has purchased BigHostCompany.com, it was announced recently.

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, HostedToday’s purchase of BigHostCompany.com, a company that focuses of the Unix shared hosting market, was based on its “reputation for excellent features, low prices, and unsurpassed uptime with the best support possible”.

HostedToday recently doubled the memory and bandwidth available through its plans and added a number of enhanced features. These include a free website builder, Ruby on Rails support, a toll free number for support, and upgraded servers (to 4 cpu xeon machines with RAID drives). HostedToday’s plans also offer blogs, photo albums and forums.
