January 7, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web host Hostway is offering a Cloud computing solution, it was announced recently. The Chicago, USA-based company’s FlexCloud™ initiative is available as part its “standard hosting packages” and targets business hosting clients.
"The primary benefit of FlexCloud for business hosting clients is gaining access to a multi-million dollar ultra reliable hosting infrastructure that scales up and down at your command for as low as $15 per month, explained John Lee, the company’s Senior Vice President of Small Business Hosting. “The secondary benefit, for some this may be the primary benefit, is that Hostway has made it easy."
Hostway developed the program through 2008 and the company’s 60,000 North American hosting customers' will be hosted on the new cloud computing infrastructure shortly, while all new customers' Web sites will immediately be hosted through FlexCloud™.
The FlexCloud™ service offers on-demand automated allocation of CPU, memory, storage and bandwidth for individual web sites, greater reliability through inherently redundant infrastructure architecture and deployment, with the “same level of end-user features that customers have come to expect from Hostway”. In addition, the company will be using “greener technology” to facilitate the service.
