Web Hosting Provider Hostway Launches Hosted Exchange
May 23, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider Hostway has announced the launch of hosted Microsoft Exchange, the email and collaboration software package which has gained significant popularity amongst businesses that do not want to invest in an Exchange server.
Hosted Exchange provides a communications and information sharing resource which facilitates email access through PCs, mobile device or webmail. The technology also integrates with Sharepoint, which allows users to collaborate on projects, share public files and folders, and work together more effectively enabling companies to maintain communications with staff whose jobs keep them away from the office.
It was a simple decision to add this to our portfolio, said Hostways Director Mr. Neil Barton. It was primarily a customer-driven initiative. Although email is essential to businesses, it also causes the most aggravation and pain for companies in terms of management and maintenance. By opting for an outsourced solution, companies can get rid of this pain.
According to Hostway, its hosted solution offers 24/7 support meaning companies do not need to rely on in-house IT staff to maintain the services it provides. Hosted Exchange includes a free licensed version of Outlook 2003. In addition, the package offers mailboxes with 300MB of space and 50MB of public disk space.
