Network Ten Choose Hostworks as Web Hosting Partner

December 11, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Network Ten, one of Australia’s three national commercial television broadcasters, with stations in each of the country’s five mainland capital cities, has chosen Hostworks (http://hostworks.com.au) as its web hosting partner, it was announced last week. The managed web hosting services deal with Hostworks has been reported as generating the company AU$2.5 million.

"Ten this week revealed it will launch at least 50 sites based on both local programs such as Australian Idol, Big Brother and Thank God You're Here and overseas series," suggested Damien Smith, Hostworks General Manager of Digital Media in a Network Ten statement. "Hostworks will provide a comprehensive managed service to support the significant new online presence for Network Ten's digital division.”

“We have worked with Hostworks previously on programs such as Big Brother, which have been very successful," added Mr. Smith.

It is estimated that the new sites will attract around 1.5 million unique visitors by early 2008. Hostworks currently provides services to organizations that include ninemsn, realestate.com.au, Wotif, Sensis, News Corporation, Ticketek and Seek.
