Hurricane Electric Peers With Hundreds of Networks

April 6, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Hurricane Electric (www.he.net), a leading Internet Backbone and Colocation Provider, announced today that it has peering relationships with over five hundred unique Internet networks around the world and has over 1,200 live BGP peering sessions.

Each unique network Hurricane Electric peers with represents direct connectivity between its network, including its customers, and each peer's network and its customers. Hurricane Electric's peering relationships help improve the speed and throughput of data between its network and its peers' networks in both directions. As a result, Hurricane Electric's global network is ranking among the top in the world. Just weeks ago Hurricane Electric was named one of the top ten Internet networks in the world by FixedOrbit.com's Knodes Index, a list of the top ten networks in the world as measured by connectivity to the rest of the Internet.

"As a part of our ongoing commitment to improving our network connectivity, we are actively working on developing even more mutually beneficial peering relationships with different networks around the world," said Mike Leber, Hurricane Electric president.
