Datapipe has acquired AWS consulting company DualSpark. Datapipe, which has headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, operates data centers in Somerset, New Jersey, San Jose, California, the United Kingdom, and in China. The company specializes in managed hosting and cloud services and offers “the most complete set of services, global locations, and industry leading partners”.
Datapipe has acquired DualSpark because its services “simplify the experience of moving apps and critical infrastructure to the AWS cloud”. DualSpark’s 40 employees will be absorbed by Datapipe, giving the latter a total of 700 employees. Financial aspects of the deal were not released.
DualSpark, which has headquarters in Santa Monica, California, USA, bills itself as an “expert Amazon Web Services consulting partner”. The company was founded by a group of former AWS executives and designed to address enterprises’ needs for advice and training to enable them to successfully migrate to the AWS cloud. The combination of Datapipe and DualSpark’s capabilities offers a “unique value proposition for enterprises seeking to take full advantage of the AWS cloud platform”.
“DualSpark has extensive cloud-native experience helping enterprises modernize and refactor applications around site and system reliability, distributed configuration management and automation at all levels,” explained Datapipe’s CEO, Robb Allen. “Datapipe has been consistently enhancing our AWS managed services offering for more than six years. Today’s acquisition is our latest step forward to help enterprises take full advantage of the AWS public cloud, all backed by Datapipe’s highly experienced, certified professionals.”
