Web Werks) has announced it has enhanced its data center security with the addition of a cloud firewall solution for cloud customers. Web Werks has headquarters in Mumbai, India and offers a range of services (including VPS hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and cloud-based services) through ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 20000-1-certified 5 Tier III and Tier IV data centers located both in India and in the United States. Web Werks is also an ICANN-registered domain name provider. The addition of the ‘Cloud Firewall’ solution will offer robust security against a range of threats.
Web Werks’ new solution is a hypervisor-based service offering a tenfold greater throughput than firewalls in more traditional cloud environments. It is of benefit to Web Werks’ cloud customers who are looking for a “simple, moderate approach to conform to major administrative and industry security principles and to secure their virtual surroundings”. The solution allows a self-managed firewall to be established “in minutes” through the company’s feature-rich ‘Customer Portal’. The portal allows customers to view a range of virtual system settings and their total VM and VM stock. It allows users to change and authorize security principles quickly through the portal.
