Web Werks India Pvt. Ltd. (Web Werks) recently completed the ‘Standardization Testing and Quality Certification’ (STQC) audit. Web Werks is an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 20000-1 certified provider with headquarters in Mumbai, India. The company’s services extend to cloud and Virtual Private Server (VPS) options alongside dedicated server hosting and colocation. Its services are made available through Tier III and Tier IV data centers in India and the United States. Web Werks is also an ICANN-registered domain name provider. The STQC audit covered its cloud hosting services and was provided by India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
STQC has a network of laboratories across India which are used to determine quality assurance in the IT and electronics arena. Established in 1980, STQC is part of India’s ‘Department of Electronics and Information Technology’ within the Ministry of Communications and IT. It has become a “prime assurance service provider to both hardware and software” and is recognized by a number of global accreditation bodies including RvA, IECEE, IECQ, NABL, and QCI. The Ministry of Communications and IT leveraged STQC to audit cloud service providers across India to determine whether that meet government standards or not.
"As we clear the empanelment of Meghraj Government Cloud by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, it really makes us proud as we are now authorized to serve Indian Government,” explained Web Werks’ Director, Nikhil Rathi. “This audit proves that our Cloud services, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Disaster Recovery as a Service, all are as per the standards required by Government of India. With this, we aim to bid for Indian Government contracts and support the initiative of our Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi."
