Indian Web Host ZNetLive Partners with GlobalSign
Indian web host ZNetLive has partnered with GlobalSign, an SSL partner program specialist and certification authority. The company is utilizing GlobalSign’s CloudSSL and Server Name Indication (SNI) solution to add SSL security to its shared hosting packages. The move allows the company to deploy SSL security without requiring a large number of IP addresses.

SSL certificates generally require dedicated IP addresses for encryption and to verify website identity. With fewer IP addresses available, web hosts find it difficult to address their customers’ SSL certificate requirements. GlobalSign’s solution leverages SNI technology to allow users to run multiple certificates on a single IP address. This also helps reduce SSL certificate costs.

GlobalSign enables websites on shared IPs to have its own SSL certificate. Once configured, the solution activates a GlobalSign application that installs, validates and updates the CloudSSL certificate. Domains are also added to a “fall-back” CloudSSL certificate that allows compatibility with “older systems”.

“GlobalSign’s CloudSSL and SNI solution will enable us to increase our SSL customer base by at least 55%,” explained CEO and Founder of ZNetLive, Munesh Singh. “Our priority will be to continue to educate our customers on the issues of online security and we are pleased to be able to facilitate access to the SSL technology for all of our hosted customers.”

Established in 2002, ZNetLive’s has a global customer base and its services include VPS and cloud hosting alongside dedicated server domain registration services. The company caters to customers in over 125 countries worldwide.
