ZoneFox, which has headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom, was established in 2012. The company bills itself as “the most advanced UEBA cybersecurity solution on the market”. Its solution offers “superior Insider Threat protection” and helps turn ‘Big Data’ into information that business decisions can be based on. Alongside cybersecurity its services extend to user behaviour analytics, augmented intelligence, and machine learning. Fortinet’s acquisition of ZoneFox is aimed at enhancing its ‘Fortinet Security Fabric’ and enhancing its endpoint and SIEM security activity.

“We’re pleased to join the Fortinet team and bring together our shared vision of alleviating CISO concerns about insider threats,” explained ZoneFox’s Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Dr. Jamie Graves on Fortinet’s website. “Integrating our solution with the Fortinet Security Fabric will allow us to extend our reach to a broad spectrum of Fortinet and third-party solutions to solve customers’ most difficult challenges in network security.”
