Internet Service Provider Zen Internet Achieves ISO 27001:2005 Certification
British internet service provider (ISP) Zen Internet has achieved ISO 27001:2005 certification. The certification is an internationally recognized information security standard and was initiated by the company to review the security controls and processes it uses to manage Information Security when providing Internet services.

Zen Internet offers a number of Internet services including broadband, leased lines, IP VPN, web hosting and domain registration, online data backup and web design. Achieving ISO 27001:2005 is dependent on fulfilling a series of third-party audits that investigate the company's processes and controls. The company has previously achieved ISO 14001:2004 - an internationally recognized environmental certification - and ISO 9001:2008, which considers a company's quality management systems.

‘As part of the certification process, we have found opportunities to strengthen and formalize our processes," explained Zen Internet's Head of Product Management and Marketing, Andrew Saunders. "The ISO 27001 certification gives our customers the confidence that their information and data are secure with us."
